David Share is the President, Managing Director and co-founder of Share Lawyers. David’s practice is devoted to disability insurance litigation and he represents injured and disabled people with compassion and sensitivity.
David has been practicing law since 1985. He is a member of both the Ontario and the New York Bars. David is very well respected within the legal community; he has spoken at many conferences, been interviewed in the media and is often called upon by his colleagues within the legal profession for his experience and knowledge in his practice area. David is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School as well as an active member of many associations including the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocates’ Society, The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association of Justice.
David has extensive experience in settlement negotiation of Disability insurance claims, as well as in mediations, arbitrations and trials. He oversees every step in the progress of each of the firm’s cases. Clients can rest assured that David’s experience is at work for them.
Steven Muller is Vice President of Share Lawyers where he has practiced since 1997 and has represented well over one thousand plaintiffs throughout Canada in disability insurance litigation disputes. Steven has extensive experience in all aspects of a disability case. Steven enjoys representing plaintiffs in mediations and settlement meetings where he tenaciously fights the disability insurance companies to get the best resolution. Steven is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association since 1998 where he has spoken on disability insurance matters. He has also been a guest speaker to the Canadian Academy of Psychologist in Disability Assessments on understanding disability insurance cases. He is the author of several articles on disability insurance litigation. Steven was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an honours B.A. in 1992. He received an LL.B from the University of Windsor in 1995 and a J.D. from the University of Detroit-Mercy in the same year. He has completed the Masters of Laws in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution in 2001. In 2018 Steven was called to the Bar of British Columbia.
Lawyer / Assistant Managing Director
Samantha Share is a Lawyer and Assistant Managing Director of Share Lawyers. She joined Share Lawyers in 2013, and is passionate about continuing the Share Lawyers legacy of a family business that puts the needs of clients first. Samantha was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2012, the Alberta bar in 2017 and the British Columbia bar in 2018. She started her law career working for a large insurance defence law firm, handling personal injury matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission. Samantha’s role on the Share Lawyers team is conducting discoveries, mediations and settlement negotiations. She is also on the Intake team, consulting with potential clients who are looking for legal representation with their insurance claim matters and she is also involved in the day to day management of the law firm and the legal team.
Samantha is a graduate of Queen’s University, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2011, and is a graduate of the University of Toronto history program, graduating in 2008, with distinction, with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours.
Janice E. Grevler
Janice Grevler has been practicing law in Ontario since 2002. Janice joined Share Lawyers in 2008, after having practiced personal injury litigation in a full-service law firm since her call to the Bar. Janice received her BA (Psychology) with distinction from the University of Western Ontario. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. Janice has significant experience representing Plaintiffs in all stages of litigation (from initial consultations to examinations for discovery to mediations and trials). She has written extensively on a variety of topics related to personal injury and disability law. As a Client Services Lawyer at Share Lawyers, Janice ensures that clients’ questions and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Kirk Sloane has been practicing law since 1988. Before joining Share Lawyers in 2008, Kirk worked in both private practice and as in-house counsel where he developed extensive knowledge of insurance law. Kirk has vast experience in addressing disability and life insurance claims. He has successfully represented clients both at trial and on appeal in both Ontario and British Columbia and at hundreds of mediations. Kirk has also been a regular speaker at conferences and workshops dealing with mediation and various insurance-related issues. At Share Lawyers, Kirk is involved in all phases of the practice; he is committed to ensuring that the full weight of his experience is utilized to achieving the best possible result for clients.
Brad Pleavin was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2006. He attended the University of Windsor law school and articled at a full service national firm in downtown Toronto. Prior to joining Share Lawyers, Brad gained extensive experience primarily in the areas of disability, life and employment matters. During this time he has handled matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and the Financial Services Commission. His role on the Share Lawyers team includes conducting examinations for discovery, settlement negotiations, mediations and appearing before the courts and tribunals. Brad is a compassionate and unwavering advocate and is dedicated to achieving favourable and efficient resolutions for his clients.
Alison Gilmour was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1995. Alison has always practiced litigation, spending many years in private practice working in commercial litigation, family law and insurance litigation. Since 2001, her practice has focused solely on disability and other insurance litigation, as in-house counsel at an insurance company, working as a mediator for several years and finally finding her true calling representing individual plaintiffs at Share Lawyers in 2014. Alison has successfully represented clients at trial and appeal in Ontario and British Columbia. Alison is committed to sensitively providing thorough, practical advice while using her experience and dedication to achieve the best possible result for her clients.

Shira Bernholtz has been practicing law since 1982 and joined our team in 1988. Shira has extensive experience in many areas of the law, however, since 2000 she has worked with our team in the areas of personal injury, disability insurance and motor vehicle litigation. Shira is one of our “Client Service Lawyers” which shows our commitment to providing top-quality client service to our clients. She is available to handle client enquiries and to ensure that all client questions and concerns are responded to as quickly as possible. In addition, she consults with the firm’s other lawyers in order to provide the most up-to-date information, reporting back on the progress and concerns of clients. Shira also assists our legal team in preparing documents for submission to mediation, courts and tribunals.

Shoshana was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She joined Share Lawyers in 2016 after working as a consultant and legal counsel for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where she received the Excelsior Award for Outstanding Achievement. Shoshana has a keen interest in health law and was a Council member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario focusing on discipline and patient relations. Shoshana received her BA (Psychology) with Merit from York University and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with her LL.B. As one of our “Client Service Lawyers”, Shoshana ensures that clients’ questions and concerns are addressed in a compassionate and timely manner.
Karen Koshman was called to the Alberta Bar in 1991 after completing her law degree at the University of Alberta. She began her career working in the area of insurance defence with a large private firm in Edmonton. Thereafter, she moved to Alberta Justice where she was general litigation counsel defending claims against the Province. Karen has extensive experience with all areas of litigation including questioning, mediations, Judicial Dispute Resolutions and trials. Karen joined Share Lawyers in 2019 and is committed to achieving the best possible result for her clients so that they can move on to recovery and healing.
Gianmarco Fabiano was called to the Ontario bar in 2016. He graduated from Western University with an Honours B.A. in 2012 and obtained his J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2015. Prior to joining Share Lawyers in 2019, Gianmarco gained extensive litigation experience primarily in the areas of personal injury and employment law. Gianmarco has successfully represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court, Financial Services Commission, and the Social Security Tribunal of Canada. Jordan Richer was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015 after graduating from McGill University with a B.A. in Economics, a Graduate Degree in Communications and Film Studies from Concordia and his J.D. from the University of Ottawa. He joined Share Lawyers in 2019, after working as an associate at a Personal Injury and Employment Law firm in Toronto, where his practice focused on personal injury, disability, and employment litigation. Jordan enjoys helping individuals who have been treated unfairly by their insurance companies or employers. He is committed to advocating passionately in order to achieve the best possible outcome. Tarun Singh obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), and then his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), from the Punjab University in India. He has since received his Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) from Queen’s University in Ontario and was called to the bar in 2015. In 2009, Tarun joined Share Lawyers, where he focuses on preparing briefs for mediation, conducting legal research and completing pre-trial memos.
Tiffany Huynh was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours B.A. with high distinction in 2015 and obtained her J.D. from Queen’s University in 2018. Tiffany joined Share Lawyers as a Student-at-Law in 2019 and has learned about nuances of Disability claims from the experienced team at Share Lawyers. She has worked with both our litigation lawyers attending examinations for discoveries, settlement meetings and mediations as well as with our “Client Service Lawyers” ensuring that clients’ needs are answered.
