David Share
President

David Share is co-founder of Share Lawyers. His practice is devoted to disability insurance, personal injury and motor vehicle accident litigation. David represents injured and disabled people with compassion and sensitivity.
David has been practicing law since 1985. He is a member of both the Ontario and the New York Bars. David is very well respected within the legal community; he has spoken at many conferences, been interviewed in the media and is often called upon by his colleagues within the legal profession for his experience and knowledge in his practice areas. David is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School as well as an active member of many associations including the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocates' Society, The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association of Justice.
David has extensive experience in settlement negotiation of Disability insurance claims, as well as in mediations, arbitrations and trials. He oversees every step in the progress of each of the firm’s cases. Clients can rest assured that David's experience is at work for them.

Steven Muller
Vice-President Litigation

Steven Muller is Vice President of Share Lawyers where he has practiced since 1997 and has represented well over one thousand plaintiffs throughout Canada in disability insurance litigation disputes. Steven has extensive experience in all aspects of a disability case. Steven enjoys representing plaintiffs in mediations and settlement meetings where he tenaciously fights the disability insurance companies to get the best resolution. Steven is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association since 1998 where he has spoken on disability insurance matters. He has also been a guest speaker to the Canadian Academy of Psychologist in Disability Assessments on understanding disability insurance cases. He is the author of several articles on disability insurance litigation. Steven was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an honours B.A. in 1992. He received an LL.B from the University of Windsor in 1995 and a J.D. from the University of Detroit-Mercy in the same year. He has completed the Masters of Laws in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution in 2001.

Shira Bernholtz
Client Service Lawyer

Shira Bernholtz has been practicing law since 1982 and joined our team in 1988. Shira has extensive experience in many areas of the law, however, since 2000 she has worked with our team in the areas of personal injury, disability insurance and motor vehicle litigation. Shira is one of our "Client Service Lawyers" which shows our commitment to providing top-quality client service to our clients. She is available to handle client enquiries and to ensure that all client questions and concerns are responded to as quickly as possible. In addition, she consults with the firm’s other lawyers in order to provide the most up-to-date information, reporting back on the progress and concerns of clients. Shira also assists our legal team in preparing documents for submission to mediation, courts and tribunals.

Kirk Sloane
Associate Lawyer

Kirk Sloane has been practicing law since 1988. Before joining Share Lawyers in 2008, Kirk worked in both private practice and as in-house counsel where he developed extensive knowledge of insurance law. Kirk has vast experience in addressing disability and life insurance claims. He has successfully represented clients both at trial and on appeal in both Ontario and British Columbia and at hundreds of mediations. Kirk has also been a regular speaker at conferences and workshops dealing with mediation and various insurance-related issues. At Share Lawyers, Kirk is involved in all phases of the practice; he is committed to ensuring that the full weight of his experience is utilized to achieving the best possible result for clients.

Janice E. Grevler
Associate Lawyer

Janice Grevler has been practicing law in Ontario since 2002. Janice joined Share Lawyers in 2008, after having practiced personal injury litigation in a full-service law firm since her call to the Bar. Janice received her BA (Psychology) with distinction from the University of Western Ontario. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. Janice has significant experience representing Plaintiffs in disability and personal injury litigation. She has written extensively on a variety of related topics. Janice is one of our "Client Service Lawyers", ensuring that clients' questions and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. She also consults with prospective clients, conducts examinations for discovery and settlement negotiations, as well as represents clients in mediation, tribunals, and court. Janice is committed to vigorously advancing our clients' rights, with compassion and dedication.

Brad Pleavin
Associate Lawyer

Brad Pleavin was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2006. He attended the University of Windsor law school and articled at a full service national firm in downtown Toronto. Prior to joining Share Lawyers, Brad gained extensive experience primarily in the areas of disability, life and employment matters. During this time he has handled matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and the Financial Services Commission. His role on the Share Lawyers team includes conducting examinations for discovery, settlement negotiations, mediations and appearing before the courts and tribunals. Brad is a compassionate and unwavering advocate and is dedicated to achieving favourable and efficient resolutions for his clients.

Samantha Share
Associate Lawyer

Samantha Share was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2012. Samantha started her law career articling and then working for a large downtown insurance defence firm, handling personal injury matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission.

Samantha’s role on the Share Lawyers team is to handle motions and conduct discoveries and settlement negotiations. She also consults with potential clients who are looking for legal representation with their insurance claim matters. Samantha is a graduate of Queen’s University, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2011. Samantha studied History at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2008, with distinction, with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours degree in history.

Alison Gilmour
Associate Lawyer

Alison Gilmour was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995 after completing her law degree at the University of Western Ontario. She began her career in family law and then commercial litigation, but has worked in disability and life insurance litigation since 2001. Alison has represented insurance companies and worked as a mediator, she has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as speaking at many conferences. By joining Share Lawyers in 2014, she has found her true calling in representing individuals for various insurance claims.

Tarun Singh
Associate Lawyer

Tarun Singh obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), and then his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), from the Punjab University in India. He has since received his Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) from Queen's University in Ontario and was called to the bar in 2015. In 2009, Tarun joined Share Lawyers, where he focuses on preparing briefs for mediation, conducting legal research and completing pre-trial memos.

Chris Corbett
Associate Lawyer

Chris Corbett was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997 after completing his Honours Undergraduate Degree in 1992 and his Law Degree in 1995 at the University of Windsor. Prior to joining Share Lawyers in 2016, Chris worked as an associate and a partner in private practice and as senior in-house counsel where he developed knowledge of insurance law and extensive experience handling personal injury, disability, critical illness and life insurance claims. Chris has successfully represented clients throughout Ontario regarding all phases of the litigation process including examinations for discovery, motions, mediations and trials. At Share Lawyers, Chris is committed to vigorously advancing our clients’ rights with compassion, integrity and dedication and to ensuring that his experience is utilized in achieving the best possible result for our clients.

Peter Tzavidas
Associate Lawyer

Peter Tzavidas was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016, and earned his J.D. from the University of Windsor Law School. Prior to joining the Share Lawyers team, he worked and articled at two prominent insurance litigation firms, and volunteered at Community Legal Aid of Windsor . Peter already has extensive court experience having appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court, Mental Health Court, and also successfully conducted his own trial during his articles. While at Windsor Law, Peter was a finalist for the Kitchen Cup Labour Law Moot competition, and was also the recipient of the Justice Karakatsanis scholarship by the Hellenic Canadian Lawyers Association in 2013.

Shoshana Sandberg
Associate Lawyer

Shoshana was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She recently joined Share Lawyers after working as a consultant and legal counsel for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where she received the Excelsior Award for Outstanding Achievement. Shoshana has a keen interest in health law and was a Council member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario focusing on discipline and patient relations. Shoshana received her BA (Psychology) with Merit from York University and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with her LL.B. As one of our “Client Service Lawyers”, Shoshana ensures that clients’ questions and concerns are addressed in a compassionate and timely manner.
