If I apply for Canada Pension Plan (CPP) disability, will it affect the CPP benefits I am supposed to receive upon retirement at the age of 65?
If your CPP disability claim is approved, the benefits are payable to age 65, unless you recover your health. At age 65 years, the benefit will revert to the retirement benefit calculated on the basis of your contributions. Having received CPP disability does not affect the amount.
