Does my health insurance policy cover me when I am out of the country?
Each policy contains unique wording, but most health insurance policies have provisions that will cover you in the event that you get sick or injured while traveling out of country. Obviously, you will not be able to utilize these benefits at the time of injury. However, reimbursement for medical costs is often withheld for unexplained or unfounded reasons.
