Do you handle children's critical illness insurance denials and if so, are the limitation deadlines the same as for adults?
Frankly, we haven't had many inquiries regarding critical illness claims
for children to date. The policy would have to be reviewed to
determine whether there are any special rules regarding time limits for
denied claims. In general, limitation deadlines are different for
children in most circumstances in Ontario, however, to fully understand
your rights, the policy should be reviewed and the specific
circumstances should be discussed to determine whether you, or the child
may be out of time.
