Do I need a lawyer to assist me in applying for short-term or long-term disability benefits?
You do not need a lawyer to assist you in applying for disability benefits. Our firm has generally not provided this service, because most people are not prepared to pay a lawyer to assist with the process of making the application as it can be quite costly. A well-prepared application with the assistance of a lawyer experienced in disability matters would enhance the chances of a successful application, but by no means, would such assistance guarantee approval of the application.
