Ask A Disability Lawyer

When should I apply for short-term disability insurance benefits?

Disability Benefits - Question 151
Apply for short-term disability benefits as soon as your doctor indicates that you should be off work, or as soon as your doctor supports your decision to stop working. Do not delay. Any delay in applying could compromise your claim. Check your benefits booklet or policy about deadlines.
