What Can I Do If I Have Depression & Have Been Denied Disability Benefits?

I have suffered with depression for most of my adult life. My condition worsened after I gave birth to my first child, and I was unable to go back to work when my maternity leave ended. The insurance company denied my claim for disability benefits. What are my options?

You may have entitlement to disability benefits; however, group benefit plans and what entitlement you may have while on maternity leave can be complicated. If your claim has been denied, you should contact a lawyer with all correspondence and policy information to determine whether your benefits have been wrongfully denied.
